Good morning all,
I have searched through the forums and did not find what I need. I have a Dan Wesson 44 magnum 8". I purchased an EKW Arms RH shroud for it so I could mount a scope. If I measure the rail correctly it is 3/8" (rimfire Size). Is there something I am missing on this as far as an adapter or will .22 rings withstand the recoil of the 44. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There are adapters; search .22 dovetail to weaver or picatinny.. I don't own a RH shroud so I can't comment to durability of .22rings on a magnum without an adapter. I can say I haven't read anything negative.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Here ya go.... I have a RH 8" pulled the link from history bookmarks. looks like brownells don't have anymore maybe somebody else does though. work fine for me.

I think EWK makes an adapter that converts it to picatinny rail size. DW recommended D&T for the large and super mag frames. With that being said, I have several LG frame shrouds that are not drilled and tapped. I have not shot them much so I cannot give any opinion of value. I suspect if you were shooting Silhouette you would want them D&T. Taking an occasional shot while hunting may not be an issue as long as it is checked before the hunt.

This is what I bought about a year ago for when Eric finally has some 15" assemblies made. Haven’t mounted it yet so I have no experience.
But according to this older thread, the 7.3 rings seem to work the best.
