As I got to spend some time with this CZ built gun, I have the same opinion as Dave, but I am not going to be as nice about it's finish. Look at the frame pic behind the cylinder flare, see the nasty shark gill lines popping out. Look at the chattering on the other side and a big gouge by the bump stop. This is a nightmare!!! If this gun was blued it would not find a owner for 400.00 let alone 1,100.00. I have seen better finishes on a H&R and Rossi for 1/3 the price. You priced this gun in the same market as a Python and it could not even carry the water for a Python!!! My thoughts are a few hours of polishing, more work on the DA and get a little better trigger and you just mite sell a few to a collectors or DW fans. But this gun is unacceptable in it's present state. As a former Quality Control Team Leader I would Fire Somebody!!!

I spent a long time examining the one I handled and found no issues like these on the finish. Sideplate fit was excellent, and the finish was very consistently good. I did not focus on the flutes, I think because I've gotten used to the relatively unfinished appearance of flutes on every DW SS gun I have compared to the rest of the gun.
For $1100 it needs to be damn near perfect, yours isn't and that really sucks. DW/CZ does nobody any good by putting high priced, poorly finished guns out there.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I'm with you Zoommb. I too prefer the style of the older shroud. Not that I don't like the new one just preference. As for finish yes CZ had better step it up if they expect to command top dollar for their products. Hopefully this one was a fluke, but it is sad the first one the biggest and best DW fan club obtains has issues.

I hope they do start making additional barrel lengths at some point, so you can finish filling up that case.

UPDATE!!!!!!!
DW/CZ is going to fix my 715, there's a story that goes with it but that will have to wait until I get it back. I'll just say that it required me taking these photos to get it done.
