This is my first post and I'm really glad to have found this forum! I just purchased a used Dan Wesson .44 Magnum in awesome condition and I have the 4, 6, and 8 inch barrels for it but no wrench to change them. I've called every gun store in town and nobody carries them or can even order them. I've looked online too with little success so I figure I'm just looking in the wrong places. Does anyone know of a place I can order a wrench (or any other tools needed for barrel changes)? If so, it would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Seems a little pricy to me, but idk. Could try Gunbroker. Ordered a hammer from them, but it hasn't shipped yet. So I couldn't really give feedback; it's just the only place i've been able to find (aside from auction sites) that has parts for the model 15.

I believe that you're going to want to check out ewkarms.com, one of the site sponsors on the right side of the page. You'll want the "Dan Wesson Large Frame Wrench" and the "Dan Wesson Gage Kit." That should set you in the right direction. Happy shootin'

Here here on pointing to EWK, you wont find and nicer person to work with....

CZ is a another point for parts and such for DW's.   Though EWK's wrenches seem to be beeter made!  While you areon his site pick up some FO sights if he still has any.

Oh and Show us that 44 with extras.   If you find you dont like the 4"  let me know!  Welcome

Awesome. Thanks for the input so far everyone. OK, so I'm a little new at this. I obviously understand how to use the wrench but what does the gage kit do? I've heard it mentioned a few times but I can't seem to figure out the purpose or how to use it. Is it really important? I'll await some replies before I place my order with EWK.

The gauge is to set the gap between the barrel and the cylinder.

You can use a normal automotive style feeler gauge set too, no need to find an original DW gauge unless you really want to.

Thanks!

I think this is the way to go!!   you may as well pick up a small frame wrench while you are at it as you will be picking one (15-2) of them up soon.  Eric is rtrhe best to deal with and quaility is his middle name. (well it could be)

hate to do it but!!!Post Pics
