I'm guessing you are thinking DW revolver in .22 lr.
You can't really go wrong between blue or stainless, but I always default to stainless.
I've owned and shot Model 22 and 722, personally, I have come to realize that I like .22 lr better in a pistol.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I'm not sure we really know what your question is. If you have already decided on a DW, you really have only one decision to make, blue or stainless. I like stainless, but beware, stainless DW's are bringing premium prices - be prepared to pay $750 plus on a used SS gun. On a typical blue you're going to pay $500+. As an alternative revolver I could always recommend a new S&W 617 with a 4" brl.. These guns are built rock solid and they're smooth as silk. Plus, you're getting 10 rounds instead of 6 - that's a huge difference in capacity. Put a set of Altamont wood conversion grips (converts round butt to square butt) on it and you'll have an awesome .22.

Well, since harley had the cojones to mention other brands, if I ever got back into .22 lr in a revolver, I would go Ruger New Model Single Six Convertible. I pretty much only shot my DW .22's single action only, and getting into .22 WMRF would be pretty cool.

If we are still talking non-Dan, I've been very happy with the stainless .22lr/.22mag Taurus i picked up about a year ago.
Having said that, I still want a Monson 722!

I have resisted getting a 22 lr dan so far. I think it is just not enough for a dan. However I have bought several H+R 22 mag and 22lr for $200 - 250 that I really like. I also love the High Standard Sentinel mk iv if you get adjustable sights. 9 rounds of mag. Most 22 revolvers have a heavy DA though.

Well, the way I go through ammo at the range, 6 rounds might be a better idea!
i took a look at the SW 617. Ouch! Looks like its gonna be a blued Dan for me, although i'll look up the HR another DWF member suggested above.
Thanks for the post.
