I have a stainless 722 with pachmayrs on it. I want factory wood but I'm confused what to buy. Is it considered small frame, medium frame, or large frame? I see grips on eBay quite often but I don't want to pay for the wrong thing.20140304_133009.jpgImage Enlarger

That is a small frame and has the square grip tang so you want grips with the square hole in them.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

If a man designed it, and a man built it, then a man can fix it.

BTW, those Pachmayr Grippers are a really nice DW grip, and not commonly available.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Definitely keeping the pachmayrs but I just love wood grips.

I do too.

I know LB has a backlog of orders which is a shame.  He makes gorgeous grips.  I have 5 or 6 grips made by him and 2 on order.

However, Hogue makes beautiful wood grips too, but they can be quite expensive.  I have several of theirs.  You can pick your wood and style. I just bought a set of "Big Butt" grips for my new 7460. They are made from 2 woods; mostly Cocobolo, with a birch band and the big butt is made from Pau Ferro.

Here's a link to Hogue's site, the DW area: http://www.hogueinc.com/store/categories/dan-wesson/25
