So I have a dw 8" barrel but no matter what I can't seem to figure out which model it is and an accurate value. So I'm asking for help. I know https://www.danwessonforum.com/wp-content/forum-resources/forum-smileys/postpics.gif. But I'm trying to figure that out too

and . The grips look a little worn but I like a gun with "character marks". What caliber is marked on the shroud? What caliber does it shoot? (Asking on the remote chance somebody changed shrouds.) What condition is the gun in, i.e., lockup, rifling, trigger pull, double action, single action, etc. Do you have any accessories for it like the barrel tool, gap gauge, original box, etc? Condition and caliber are going to have a big effect on price. Assuming it is a 357 in working condition with no accessories, $350 to $450 would be my guess as to value. Now if you have extra barrels and a factory case, or if its 22, 22 magnum or 32 caliber, the value will be higher. (I could be wrong but I don't think it is a large frame gun (41 or 44).) If you are going to sell it, better pics will help, especially if going on an auction site. HTH.

That is a small Frame DW ( aka medium frame). Since it is blued the "model" will reflect its caliber (generally : except for the .357/38) + plus the suffix acknowledging barrel dimensions.
If this is a .357 (most common) The model would be:
15-2/8 ( standard rib/weight 8")
The -2 indicates a target model (which yours is).
Values fluctuate depending on condition, market timing, and accessories included ( box, papers, tools). Min price $300 max price $500
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

Around my area, they would still ask $600 for that...but it would probably never sell at that price.
It looks like the bluing is probably in good shape, but hard to make out for sure on my monitor. The "custom sanded" grip will detract a little from the overall value. If the bluing is in good shape, I'd say $300 ~ 400 would be an average value.
