I have a 1982-83 Dan Wesson model 14-2 that my mother gave to me. My father said it was originally part of a pistol pack, but my mom has since got rid of the extra barrels, case and tools. It just has the 6" barrel, which is better than nothing.
My question is, what wood grips came stock on this handgun? I see so many different styles, so I'm confused. The pistol currently has a pachmayer grip on it, but I would prefer something wood grips to complete the revolvers look. Thanks.

Dan Wesson used so many different wood grip styles over the years, it is really difficult to pinpoint what would be correct for a given year. It almost seems to me that they had a huge bin of grips and randomly pulled one out and installed it as guns were built. I would say during your years any nice checkered grip with the DW medallion would look appropriate.
