Guys, I was cruising the auctions sites hoping to find a GTDW while everyone else was still full from the turkey and stumbled upon a destroyed DW44!
It's a sad day when someone would intentionally do this to an American made firearm and especially one of our beloved Dan Wesson's!
Please a moment of silence...

I,ll let you know if I win the auction. This guy has a bin FULL of many different brands of both long and short guns in the same condition.
yes, mauser8x57 is superdan's & my name on gb, aa, ga, ebay, other sites.
WE hope to repair it if possible, or at least salvage what we can.
Can't se letting a DW die if we can help it

Looks like barrel/shroud and cylinder damage only. Unfortunately, DW lists the Small Frame cylinder on the parts list, but not the Large Frame
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

That is enough to break my heart...........did anyone look at the list. Gorgeous 1911s, a German made PPK,...................
Definately looks like someone went fishing in the "demill" bin somewhere.
As noted above it looks like that DW could be resurrected.

That just breaks my heart to see these item's this way. Freakin anti gun nuts! That kimber won't be bad but I think they got the frame on it. But this is one way for us to get parts when needed.

Looks like a dozer ran over it... poor thing.
If it was a seized gun and "destroyed", how can it be sold again even for parts as a whole gun?? Just wondering.

I believe the intent is to make it a non-shooter, and then sell it for scrap. Hammering the barrel like that is obviously not something that disables a DW. Interesting that it requires an FFL transfer
