Thank you. It took a couple attempts but I think it turned out well. I didn't bother to 'adjust' the first one as it was easier to mill another to the corrected dimensions. Plus, I got to experiment with ramping up feed/speed on that 0.050" end mill... sooo easy to snap those little guys.
The shaft/face joint is a press fit.

I finally got out to test my 'reborn' 15-2. The extract worked flawlessly, the gun operated perfectly, the operator… well…
OK, I was shooting at 100 yrds because it was raining and I didn't feel like dragging my target stand in closer. I set it at 100yrds because I figured 'Dan' needed a little learnin' after it's surgery so I brought a couple 'Big Brother' wood and steel safe mates to show the ropes.
SEI pre-ban M14, M1917 (all correct) Eddystone and 'The Dan'. 'twas a fun time!
