I bought a DW 715 (stainless) in .357 magnum about six months ago. Came w/6" barrel, and I was about to buy a 2-1/2" barrel and shroud from the factory. Since then, all the stainless steel barrels and shrouds except for 6" are unavailable. What's the deal?
Because the Supply/Demand curve on accessories for DW revolvers is minimal on supply, and huge on demand. Huge on demand means you pay the price, when you can get something.
In fairness to DW in Norwich, they are primarily a 1911 manufacturer. Fortunately they still support parts and service on revolvers as best they are able, but ...
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I was hoping for a little more insight. This is my fault. I should have been more precise in my first post.
Stainless barrel/shrouds for a DW 715 revolver in .44 cal are available in every length from their web store. Does anyone know whether the company has a particular manufacturing cycle, i.e. they do runs for one caliber, then switch? After all, I was able to buy a 2.5" stainless barrel/shroud for my .357 cal DW 715 revolver from the factory. It is now unavailable, and 4", 8", and 10" have never been available from the factory since I bought my revolver. Is this likely to be permanent?
It's strange to me. I can understand short-term supply shortages, but it seems odd that the manufacturer wouldn't want to fill demand that seems to exist. After all, I presume they're not running a charity or a non-profit, so you'd think they'd want to make as much as they can trade.
All I can think is that it's a really small operation, so they run batches. I was wondering whether anyone here had insight into how they schedule those runs. It would be quirky to the point of strange if the company wanted to keep these parts in permanent undersupply, given how it would reduce the market as word got around. If you're going to bother to be in business, well, then be in business. If they don't want to support the DW 715, why even make it?
I suppose what I went and did was get myself a boutique gun. Maybe not the brightest idea -- at least for me, because I'm really not a boutique guy. So it's frustrating, especially because a major reason I bought it was for interchangeability of barrels. My own fault: I should've done more research first. It really didn't cross my mind that they dole these things out with an eyedropper. Live and learn.
A RELATED QUESTION:
Will a 15-2 barrel fit my DW 715? Sorry if that's a really stupid question, but I'm not immersed in it, which is why I'm asking in a place where people will know more than I do. I see some of those 15-2 barrels for sale on line, but I'm not sure if they'll fit my revolver.
p.s.: @Stinger, I bought it on Gunbroker, and there weren't any pistol packs or other barrels one-by-one for sale at the time.

I was just going off the limited info you gave. Now we have a much better understanding of your background story, to enable us to respond appropriately.
My first bit of advise is to forget CZ and deal directly with the factory in Norwich.

Thanks for your reply. Like I say, my fault. I didn't want to be too wordy the first time, but I wasn't wordy enough.
Any chance that you or anyone else here has maybe a name or a phone extension or department at that factory? CZ's website has a "webstore" where they sell this stuff -- when it's available -- so I'm wondering whether it's worth it to even try the factory. I'm certainly willing to, but I wonder if I'd just be seen as a pest.

You can mount an original 15-2/715 shroud on your new frame no problem, however the new guns have a redesigned top rib so the older shroud will look a bit odd on the new frame but will function fine.
