It looks like there has been a run on Williams Firesights on Midway lately. Just got on there to order one for the 357 I'm putting together for my sister and they're out of stock. Gee, I wonder how that happened. wink

Just a note on adding this sight to a large frame. The DWA sight springs are too big to fit into the Williams sight. The DWA sight screw doesn't fit quite right. I ordered Ruger 100 springs and screw from Numrich to solve this problem.

Is there a thread showing how to install these?  I just ordered a set for my Monson 15-2.  Do I just remove the elevation screw and the roll pin and reuse the spring and screw?

To remove the sight, first drive out the roll pin in the front with a 1/16" pin punch. Then unscrew the height adjustment screw all the way and the sight will come off. I reused the screw and roll pin. Read my first post in this thread, there are 2 different diameter springs, if you have the smaller diameter they will work in the Williams sight. If not, buy 2 Ruger springs as I recommended earlier in the thread. To install, I dab a bit of grease on the spring ends to hold them in the sight. Then I screw the adjustment screw in several turns to hold the sight on loosely. Then I reinstall the roll pin, being careful it is a bit tricky to line up the hole.

My sights showed up today.  Thanks to your instructions it was really easy to get them installed.  I was able to use my Grace roll pin punches that I bought myself for Christmas.  I drove out the pin enough to clear the old sight, removed the screw, put on the new sight and I used the punch to align the sight to the frame while I gently tapped the pin back in.  Once the pin was mostly in I tapped it in the rest of the way with the roll pin punch to avoid peening the roll pin.

the sights look amazing!!  I would have never guessed they would be such a perfect fit.  I'm going to order a few more!

Here is my 15-2 race gun. Jeweled trigger, hammer, and insides, along with an EWK EH 6" barrel and a muzzle break.  I installed the Pachmayr 'gripper' that came with another 15-2 that I bought recently.

I'm editing this post to add some additional pictures...as it turns out I was in something of a Nyquil induced haze when I was attempting to post the pictures yesterday.  Thanks to SMKYTXN for the assist yesterday (below)...here's some NEW pictures for your trouble

I went with fiber optic pipe sights from EKW. I got one with a red pipe, and one with green pipe.

I know this thread is a couple months old, but I have been looking for a replacement sight set for my Monson DW Model 715 357 and this looks like a great option!

For the Williams #70958 sight set, will the front sight work on a 715?  How do you remove the front sight anyway??  Rear sight looks easy enough.  Thanks.

EDIT:  Nevermind,  I see there is a allen screw in the front that releases the sight and looks like I need to buy the EWK front optic sight.  Helps if you read some more before posting.  big-grin

You found it Paul!  We're just not accustomed to looking at the front of our own barrels...

Sorry for bring up an old thread but I just wanted to thank dw forum for this info.  Just got me a set of the Williams sight.i always wanted a better rear sight but didn't know these were available.  Now just wish I would have went with the green fo from ewk. I have the red one currently. I'll see how the green and red look together.  I think I would like all green but we will see.

That is an awfully nice " Gold Series" you have there. I have a 6". You aren't planning to put the firefights on that I hope.  It is your call though. They have their own distinctive sights.

I'll second the GREEN RED GREEN sights It really does make a difference.

So you are saying I should keep the red front and green rear? I'll see how I like when I get it.  I can see how it would help sight alignment
