So here it is Monday..and I have been sick since Friday. I guess like most guys, after a while.. I become a very grumpy patient. So on a local forum, someone posted about wanting a PPC style gun and asked about Dan Wessons. Now I check this forum frequently, so i was surprised that he had about 6 replies.. everyone of them suggesting he forget about DW's... Oh sure, no-one said they were bad... just that any Smith was a better purchase. Now the guy is considering a Taurus!
I really saw red with this...looking back its probably me being grumpy sick, but I made sure that alot of the stuff they attribute to S&W is not attributed to the DW. In the end I offered to bring the guy shooting AND offered to sell him my other gun with the EPC, a Vh6 and a 4H for $1025... I wonder if he will call me on it.

Glad they are bashing Dan Wessons, it will keep the prices down and I can keep adding more to my collection.

That was my first thought too.

Well it would be easy if they were bashing the DW's .. but really they are not ... instead they just discount them so completely.

I now own one smith and not sure how many Dans + High Standards. Maybe we all know something most don't. (Just the way I like I it) Give it to them Pine! Hope you are feeling better too!

I guess we are the enlighten few here! I do think that the DWF is slowly changing some of the bashing though.
I know when I find a DW locally they can usually be had for a deal. I currently know where a LNIB 15-2 is for $495 and could probably be had for less.
There is a lot of bashing (not just of DW) on other sites which is a shame!

Always going to be that Ford, Dodge, Chevy argument. Even as early as the
school playground days I remember defending my new Converse's were faster
than a class-mates Nike's…..LOL ! Some will never grow from that "mine is better
than yours" mentality. Jody totally hit it on the nose, people criticize(fear) what they
don't know, that includes firearms. Sadly though mass commercialing can and will
make opinion's and buy votes
