After reading several post on this forum, I'm pretty sure I just acquired a model 15-2v6 in excellent condition. This is my first DW gun. My question is when the hammer is down, I can spin the cylinder both ways. When the hammer is cocked I can only spin the cylinder counter clockwise. Is this normal for a DW, or is there a problem with the bolt?

You should not be able to 'spin' the cylinder in either case. Sounds like a bolt/ bolt spring/ bolt plunger issue. Could be the bolt is worn or could be a missing part (spring most likely). Take it apart and give it a good cleaning- post pics of anything you have a question about.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Thanks for you reply. I took a better look at the diagram. I now see that a spring and plunger are missing from my gun. EKW doesn't have either one. Numrich has the spring but not the plunger. Any ideas where I can find the plunger?
