Man, that thing is SEXY! What did you use to clean it? I use a little "Mother's Mag Polish" on my stainless guns once in a while. They really shine when you caress them a little.

The Dove Grey guns are bead blasted stainless, I don't know if the were first, or just commemorated the new 44 line. They did a run of 250 engraved and another run of 250 without engraving. They came in wood presentation cases with certificates. I have one of each although the non engraved is nicer look in my opinion.
The card only says they are in a special Dove Gray finish, but doesn't say it's stainless. A magnet will stick to it but all my stainless Dans also attract a magnet.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I don't think it was stainless as they weren't producing stainless revolvers at that time. I'll have to dig out the box and see what the tag says. I held both an engraved version and an unengraved version in my hands at the time (79 or 80) and went with the unengraved version. - dan
