Ok, so I have been reading the forums and I have a few questions.
I recently acquired this gun. It looks to me like I have a Vented, heavy underlug interchangeable barrel.
This looks like a stainless 6" barrel 44 Magnum made in Monsoon
Serial number is SB005655 - this places the gun Ca. 1984-85
It has a Burris 1 1/2x by 4x Scope
Black Rubber grips
From the ID thread I think I have a 744-VH Hunters Pac.
Inside the chamber is a Circle with an "S,S"
Can anyone enlighten me on the any information such as year, Corrections to my assumption, value of the gun, etc...?

e 744 VH 6, Pachmyr Presentation grips, Bsquare clamp on mounts. Doubt it's a hunter Pac, unless you have documentation to support that. The date sounds about right, but look in the serial number registry to confirm. Value is dependent on condition, time of year, part of country you live in and how bad somebody wants it. On auction, $575-800. Nice gun.
Drop by the new members area and introduce yourself and tells us how you acquired your Dan.

I agree. The Hunter Pac shroud wearing the scope would be devoid of the front sight from the factory. The Hunter Pac would have also included a (non-scope) shroud with a front sight...in a Pac case.
Regardless, you found a good looking stainless 744 DW there, congrats! The year should be between '88 & '91 I would think, Steve may be able to nail it down a little tighter.
